What an Experience...

So I guess I am getting a glimpse at the "joys of parenthood." Rory is such a sweet little angel (most of the time) and I couldn't imagine loving her more. But, being up ALL NIGHT LONG while she screams bloody murder is a trying experience. We got our first taste of that two nights ago, when she woke up at 12:00am and didn't fall back asleep until 7, fussing and yelling the whole time. She seems to get tummy aches at night. Last night, I thought we were heading down the same road, but (and THANK YOU Leigh!) actually used some of the ideas from "Happiest Baby on the Block" and after awhile of that, she fell asleep--and stayed that way. Sleep was nice. :)

She's Here!

Our little girl was born yesterday morning at 9:52 am.

Rory Elisabeth McAnally

8 lbs, 14 oz

20.5 inches long

She's absolutely perfect. Thanks so much for all of the thoughts and prayers during this pregnancy. Please continue to pray for us as we begin the quest that is parenthood.

And The Wait Continues...

Well, here we are, three days past her expiration date and our little one has chosen NOT to make her appearance. As of right now, we have another doctors appointment on Wednesday with some tests. From there, we will probably wind up scheduling an induction in the days to follow. Hopefully she'll come on her own before then.
